Just so you know (if you have time to read this anymore)… Nicole gace birth to Evie Grace (5lb 7) and Isabelle Cara (4lb 10) on 8 June. They spent a week in special care but home now.

Many, many congratulations to all three of you. We are so happy all went well and you are home and caring for your new arrival.

*HUGS* sweetie. I feel you on the frustrated and grumpy. It probably doesn’t help to hear, but it’s all totally normal – those early contractions are doing plenty of work, even if you have no measurable results. (For me, several days of on-and-off contractions amounted to basically skipping the Early Labor stage, so that when they finally became regular I was already in Active Labor.)

Thinking good thoughts for you and hoping it happens soon!!

I’m glad you’re feeling so good .

I know you’re not looking forward to having eager-beaver grandmas around, but don’t underestimate how helpful they can be when steered toward projects that are actually useful to you. Taking care of a newborn is hard enough with two adults, but particularly when you’re solo-parenting – having another person around to do a load of laundry, make you a healthy meal or just hold the baby while you shower can feel like a godsend. Please don’t feel like it’s anything but normal to ask for and/or accept help; new-mama-hood is a time when you’re *meant* to lean on the people who love you. Put those grandmas to work! (And if not them, your friends. I can’t tell you how much I wish *I* could come over for an afternoon or two while Mike is away and just do whatever you need.)

Very glad to hear that it sounds like nothing serious, even if it was scary. It sounds like you have a good team caring for you, even if Crazy Mormon Hair rubs you a bit the wrong way.

Oooh, movement, very exciting! 21 weeks sounds about right. It’s definitely easily mistakable for gas, etc. at first. But I bet movement is what it is. He’s really in there!!
